If you have deep attraction for monsoon and also you are planning a trip then mountain ghats are a right choice . There are so many beautiful places which could exceed your imagination . There are following places which are commonly love by tourists :-
 Anamudi [Kerala] :- Kerala is a one of the state of India which is also naturally very beautiful in itself . Anamudi is a mountain located on the border of Devikulam Taluk , Idukki district and Kothamangalam Taluk , Ernakulam district in Kerala . It is the highest peak in the southern Himalayas . Anamudi is 13 km away from Munnar . If you want to go for outer trip , then you should plan for Anamudi for complete refreshment .
 Nilgiri Hills [ Tamil Nadu .] :- Nilgiri Hills are situated in Tamil Nadu of South India . The Nilgiri Hills are also called as a form of Western Ghats in western Tamil Nadu of south India . The Nilgiri hills are part of larger mountains and are a very famous spot for tourists . Nilgiri means blue hill or mountain . It is believed that the bluish flowers of kurinji shrubs gave rise to the name . The highest point of Nilgiri hills is Doddabeta peak . The Nilgiri hills are also known as the Queen of the hills .
 Palani Hills [ Tamil Nadu ] :- Palani hills are the mountain in the states of kerala and Tamil Nadu . Palani hills are an eastward extension of western Ghats . It has also a worship place of Lord Karthikeyan , the primary God in Tamil Nadu . It is well famous tourist place and it is also known for its greenery , rocks and fresh air .
 Kundremukh Hills :- Kundremukh is well famous for its iron ore from the hills . Kundremukh is also most attractive and beautiful tourist place . It can be visited anytime in summer , monsoon and winter . There is a mountain in kundremukh which is almost similar to the Horse face and that’s why it is named as kundremukh .  Melshej Ghat , Maharashtra :- Melshej Ghat is a mountain in the western ghat situated on the side of Thane – Pune road of Maharashtra . It is known for landslides during monsoon . Flamingoes are the most available birds there . The valleys are the main attraction of this ghat . Malshej Ghat have very beautiful surroundings to keep you away from busy city life . It has facility for adventure activities like trekking surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and nature .
 Mundakayam Ghat , Vagamon , Kerala :- In Kerala , Mundakayam is a place 8 km away from Vagamon . This place is mainly known for its setting sun and famed bird watching . This place is also famous for adventure seekers and nature lovers . Vagamon is becoming quite popular because of the paragliding activities by ASSTA .
 Matheran Ghat , maharashtra :- Matheran is a hill station in Raigad district of Maharastra . It is like a weekend spot for metropolitans . It is the smallest hill station in India . The sunrise and sunset are the best views from here . This place also has the largest monkey population .
 Sivalik Hills , Himachal Pradesh :- Sivalik hills are the mountain range of outer Himalayas and located in Himachal Pradesh . Sivalik hills are not well known region but now it is one of the most attractive tourist places . This is an ideal place for adventure activities , photographers , and nature lovers .
 Meesapulimala , Kerala :- Meesapulimala is the third highest peak in the western ghats of Idukki and is mainly known for wildlife sighting for Nilgiri Thar , sambar deer , Wild Gaur , Wild dogs and even the sloth Bear . Around 15 km away lies Rhodovalley which is famous for the blooming Rhodendron trees .
 Chembra Peak , Wayanad :- Chembra is located near the town of Meppadi and is 8 km from kalpetta . If you like soothing and calm natural beauty then this is the perfect stop for you . You can also do some adventure activities here . The peak is visible from all the site of Wayanad .
 Banasura Hills , Wayanad [Kerala ] :- Banasura hills are one of the mountains in the western ghats of Wayanad district , Kerala . The region provides some amazing spot for clicking pictures . The dawn of this region attracts towards its beautiful natural beauty .
 Kodachadri [ karnataka ] :- Kodachadri is a mountain peak in the Western ghats that has dense forests . It is declared a natural site by the government of Karnataka It is full of greenery and forests . This place has a cool climate . Around 5 km from Kodachari is a waterfall named Hidlumane waterfalls and it can be reached by trekking .

 Mullayangiri ,Karnataka :- It is also one of the mountain range in Western Ghats of Karnataka . It is famous and best trekking places in karnataka . It is simply breathtaking . A trek to Mullayangiri is one hell of an experience and a thrilling adventure which you cannot afford to miss .
 Perumal peak ,Tamil Nadu :- Perumal is one of the high peak at Kodaikanal in Perumal malai hills , which a greater part of the western Ghats in Tamil Nadu . This is also best place for taking snapshots and doing trekking . Visitors come here mainly for site seeing or looking for natural beauty . The monsoon is the best time for visiting this place .
